My Story

Would you believe me if I told you Latch Plus was born at a park? During my years working as an In-Hospital Lactation Consultant, many parents asked me to come to their home. I would jokingly respond, “Only if you have Chocolate!”, which gave them a laugh as I proceeded to tell them how to get support once discharged. The light bulb finally turned on the day I was strolling through a park listening to a podcast about Purpose. I realized I was already living my purpose and I felt called to expand it by owning my own Business.

After doing a deep dive into how to start and run a Lactation Business, I still needed a name. Obviously the biggest concern for most moms is how to comfortably LATCH their baby. But I knew that I provided more than just guidance on techniques. How I make mothers feel during their vulnerable moments is so important to me. Breastfeeding is a skill that weaves into so much of our emotional, physical, and experiential wellbeing. The only way to capture that was PLUS. Such a simple word, but one with promise; That I will always go above and beyond to ensure the families I serve have the most supportive, empowering, and peaceful experience possible.
